The Photonics Explorer offers students of all ages a comprehensive and exciting range of experiments that enable them to experience and see the basics of optics and photonics for themselves through exploratory learning, as well as to gain experience in scientific work.
Experiencing Photonics - Projects & Events
As part of our projects and events, such as the annual International Day of Light, we offer regular exciting activities and competitions for students, school classes, and teachers, as well as entire schools and school year groups. In collaboration with the Photonics Austria working groups, in particular the WG EDUCATION, new opportunities are constantly emerging to experience photonics up close and exchange ideas with experts in this field. It’s worth taking part!
International Day of Light
Organizing events and activities for the annual Day of Light has always been a fundamental part of Photonics Austria. With exciting lectures, informational materials on a wide variety of topics related to photonics, and events throughout Austria, we bring lighting technologies right to your doorstep!
Uni for children
The program “universities for children” start very early on to instill in our youngest a fascination for the technologies of our modern lives.
Simple examples are used to take the first step toward a playful understanding of current topics (videos blow are in german).
