SUMMARY:Workshop on Quantum Satellite Networks
DESCRIPTION:The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG)\, in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) would like to invite quantum computing and satellite quantum communication experts to discuss and explore concepts\, benefits and challenges of quantum networks interconnecting scalable quantum computers and devices over large distances. The goal of this cross-disciplinary workshop is to create a collaborative platform for satellite quantum communication and quantum computing researchers and industry\, both small and large\, from ESA member states and around the world\, to discuss a variety of architectures and technologies for satellite Quantum Information Networks (QIN) for long distance connectivity between quantum devices and processing units. The workshop will aim at identifying the approaches that show most promise and help advance them by contributing to ESA and FFG vision of satellite Quantum Information Network. The workshop will bring together a diverse group of experts to discuss challenges and technical solutions as well as provide an overall assessment of long-distance connectivity. \nMore Information here: Workshop on Quantum Information Networks for Secure Quantum Computing
